In the centre of Aix-en-Provence you can follow in the footsteps of the famous painter Paul Cézanne, who painted many pictures of the Montagne Ste Victoire, the mountain that dominates the landscape east of Aix. Cézanne was until his death a regular at the restaurant “Les Deux Garçons” on the beautiful Cours Mirabeau dating from the 17th century, close to the fountain which has been producing water at 30°C for over 2000 years.
